Cascara - Now Available for Take Home or Tasting in Store

Cascara is the dried coffee pulp (coffee cherry outer layer) which is removed from around the coffee beans during processing. This pulp is often a waste product on plantations around the world. However in Australia it is used as mulch around the plantation and also a selection is saved for cascara. It is enjoyed much like tea however is beautiful as an ice beverage served with a slice of lime or other citrus. If you are adventurous try it in a cocktail too.

Can you spot the difference? The sample on the left is from a natural process selection while on the right the sample is washed. Both samples are from our growing partners in northern NSW, Mountain Top Estate, near Nimbin, which produces some of Australia’s finest coffee. You can now purchase cascara to enjoy in store or purchase to take and brew at home.
